Best Deep Pan Pizza Dough Recipe
This deep pan pizza dough recipe is mouthwateringly good. The crust is fluffy, crispy and everything a deep pan pizza should be and the pizza can hold a ton of toppings, so don't hold back on piling on all your favorites.
This recipe is for 4 portion sized pizzas, but alternatively you could just make it into one large pizza if you so desire.
Servings 4 pizzas
- 1 3/4 cups Water
- 2½ tbsp Active Dry Yeast
- 1 tsp Salt
- 5 cups Tipo 00 Flour or All-purpose Flour
Pour the lukewarm water into a large mixing bowl. Dissolve the yeast in the water and add the salt. Stir in the flour a little at a time until everything is mixed. Knead the dough for around 8-10 minutes, until the dough forms a firm, yet elastic pizza dough.
Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and set aside to rise for 1 hour.
Next, remove the cloth and pour the dough out onto a clean flour dusted kitchen table. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and knead them again. Roll the dough into 4 balls and cover with a clean cloth again. Leave to rise on the kitchen counter for 20 more minutes.
Roll out the pizza doughs into round pizza shapes.
Spray the 4 baking pans with oil and gently place each pizza dough in their own pan (each pan should be around 10 inches). Cover the baking pans with a plate to keep the dough in place and place the baking pans with the dough in the refrigerator for 3 hours (or if you're in a hurry, just let them rise on the counter for 45 minutes instead).
Preheat the oven to 450F Top the pizzas with all the toppings you want (tomato sauce, cheese, veggies etc.) and bake them in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until the pizza dough is cooked and the crust is slightly crispy.
Serve hot and enjoy.
