Easy Homemade Hoisin Sauce (Vegan)

  • 4 tbsp Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Molasses
  • tbsp Tamari
  • 2 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Hot Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sweet and Sour Chili Sauce
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • ¼ tsp Chinese Five Spice Powder
  • ½ tsp Corn Starch


  • Add all the ingredients (except the cornstarch) to a food processor and blend until combined.
  • Next, heat a small pan and add the sauce to the pan. Once the sauce starts to bubble, add the cornstarch and whisk to combine. Let it come to a quick boil and then lower the heat to a simmer.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer for for 20 seconds before removing from the heat. Transfer to a clean airtight container and allow to cool .
    Serve with almost anything.
