Easy Homemade Hoisin Sauce (Vegan)
Delicious, flavorful and easy to make Homemade Hoisin Sauce Recipe. This vegan Hoisin sauce is decadent, packed with flavors and amazing as a dip, BBQ sauce or to put in other dishes as a flavor enhancer.
Servings 1 Sauce
- 4 tbsp Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 2 tbsp Molasses
- 2½ tbsp Tamari
- 2 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tbsp Hot Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sweet and Sour Chili Sauce
- 1 clove Garlic Minced
- ¼ tsp Chinese Five Spice Powder
- ½ tsp Corn Starch
Add all the ingredients (except the cornstarch) to a food processor and blend until combined.
Next, heat a small pan and add the sauce to the pan. Once the sauce starts to bubble, add the cornstarch and whisk to combine. Let it come to a quick boil and then lower the heat to a simmer.
Allow the sauce to simmer for for 20 seconds before removing from the heat. Transfer to a clean airtight container and allow to cool .Serve with almost anything.
