  • 1 medium head cabbage core removed, shredded (about 1.2 kg)
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1 yellow pepper finely sliced
  • 3/4 cup (150g) white sugar or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

  • In a large salad bowl, mix together the shredded cabbage, chopped red onion, and sliced yellow pepper.
  • In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine apple cider vinegar, vegetable oil, salt, celery seed, and mustard. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from the burner and allow it to cool down.
