Ingredients
1largePizza Crust
2largeYellow OnionsSliced
½cupRed Pesto
½cupGorgonzola Cheese(Vegetarian, or vegan) crumbled
2tspOregano
¼tspSea salt or Kosher Salt
1bunchFresh BasilChopped
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a non-stick frying pan. Add the sliced onions and fry them at medium-high heat. Season with a little salt and oregano and stir occasionally. Once the onions soften and begin to become lightly golden, remove them from the heat.
Preheat the oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
Place the pizza dough on the baking sheet. Top the pizza with red pesto and spread it out evenly, almost all the way to the edges. Top with the Caramelized onions and cheese and evenly distribute everything across the pizza. Sprinkle sea salt and oregano on top and bake the pizza for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and done. Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish it with fresh basil. Serve and enjoy.
