Notes

Here are some delicious variations you can consider adding to your leftover pizza casserole to customize and enhance the flavors:
1. Additional Pizza Toppings: You can add extra pizza toppings to the casserole, such as sliced olives, diced tomatoes, vegan sausage, or plant based pepperoni. These will contribute to the pizza flavors and add more texture to the dish.
2. Fresh Herbs: Consider adding fresh herbs like chopped basil, parsley, or oregano to add a burst of freshness and aroma to the casserole.
3. Vegetables: Incorporate diced vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms for added color, flavor, and nutrients. Sauté them before adding to the casserole for a slightly softer texture.
4. Spicy Kick: If you enjoy some heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes or add sliced jalapeños or hot sauce to give your casserole a spicy kick.
5. Different Cheese Varieties: Experiment with different types of cheese, such as cheddar, provolone, or feta, to create a unique flavor combination. You can substitute or combine them with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
6. Fresh Spinach or Arugula: Toss in some fresh spinach or arugula leaves to add a pop of green color and a touch of freshness. These leafy greens will complement the flavors of the pizza toppings.
7. Sautéed Garlic: Enhance the garlic flavor by sautéing minced garlic in olive oil before adding it to the casserole. This will infuse the dish with a delicious garlicky taste.
