Prep Time 15 minutes
Serving Size 25 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225g) Butter Melted
  • 2 Eggs
  • ¾ cup Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cups (360g) All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 cups (12oz) Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).Line a baking sheet with baking parchment.
  • Melt the butter in a saucepan and let it begin to brown slightly. Remove from the heat.
  • Pour the brown sugar and granulated sugar into a large mixing bowl and stir in the melted butter.
  • Let the mixture cool for 3–5 minutes.
  • Quickly whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring with a spatula or wooden spoon until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough. If the dough feels very soft, let it rest for 15–30 minutes at room temperature (or chill for 30 minutes) before scooping.
  • Use a cookie scoop or ice cream scoop to portion the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. (Alternatively, use 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie for medium cookies. For extra-large cookies, use about 3 tablespoons of dough.)
  • Place the cookies on the baking sheet, leaving at least 2 inches between each one.
  • Bake in the middle of the oven for 7–10 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden brown. The centers should still look slightly underbaked.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
