Amazing Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

These amazing soft chocolate chip cookies are everything their name implies. Deliciously soft and buttery dough loaded with chocolate chips. Is it any wonder that this is my favorite chocolate chip cookies recipe of all time.

Now, in all fairness, I will admit to having a love affair anything chocolate. But that doesn’t mean I’m not super picky and feel like I’m a bit of a chocolate chip cookies connoirsseur. I pretty much can’t see a chocolate chip cookie without needing to try it. But not all chocolate chip cookies recipes are made equal. Some are just okay, some might as well be store bought and a few standout recipes are simply made in heaven.
In all the great chocolate chip cookies recipes, this one is our family favorite. It’s always super popular with children and adults alike…let’s face it, no one can resist a delicious soft chocolate chip cookie, am I right?

What’s so great about this amazing soft chocolate chip cookies recipe:

  • It’s so simple and easy to make
  • Straight-forward and requires a minimum of ingredients for maximum deliciousness
  • Soft, chewy and pretty much awe inspiring
  • Quick to make
  • Ideal for cozy evenings, parties and a must have for Christmas

Getting the right soft and chewy texture

Getting the ideal chewy cookie texture is all about using the right amount of ingredients and baking the cookies until they are just starting to turn golden on the edges. If you bake them for too long, the cookies become crispy (still absolutely delicious, though).
To make these cookies extra flavorful and soft, I use brown sugar. It locks in the moisture and adds extra depth of flavors.

Gluten free option

If you’re looking for a gluten free option there’s luckily a lot of choices these days. The easiest option would be to switch the all-purpose flour out with regular gluten free flour. Another possibility is to substitute the flour with half rice flour and half almond flour. Now, that does change the taste and texture a bit, but it still gives you a delicious cookie.
