Ingredients

Fattoush Salad recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (100g) romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1 cup (130g) cucumber diced
  • 1 cup (180g) tomatoes diced
  • 1/2 cup (60g) radishes sliced
  • 1/2 cup (60g) green bell pepper diced
  • 1/4 cup (40g) red onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup (5g/small handful) fresh mint leaves chopped
  • 1/4 cup ((5g/small handful) fresh parsley chopped

For the Lebanese Salad dressing recipe:

  • 1/4 cup (60ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground sumac
  • 1/3 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 1/3 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper adjust to taste

For the crispy pita:

  • 2 whole wheat pitas cut into small squares
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/3 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste

Instructions

How to make Arabic salad recipe Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Toss the pita squares with olive oil, ground cumin, and salt. Spread them on a baking sheet and bake until crispy (5-10 minutes).
  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, radishes, bell pepper, red onion, mint, and parsley.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, sumac, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.
