1cupRice
1cupWater
1cupCoconut Milk
½tspSalt
1tbspGround Turmeric Powder
1tspGround Cinnamonoptional
1tspPaprika
½tspGround Cumin
Instructions
Pour the rinsed rice into a pot and add 1 cup coconut milk, 1 cup water and all the seasoning.
Bring the pot to a boil on the stove, before turning it down to a simmer. Let the rice cook for 15-20 minutes while stirring occasionally. When the rice has almost absorbed all the water, turn off the heat and make sure the pot is completely covered with a lid.
Let the rice rest on the warm stove for 10-15 more minutes as the rice becomes tender. Fluff the rice with a spoon or fork before serving and enjoy.
