  • 1/2 cup Thai green chilies
  • 1/4 cup diced onion - green onions shallots, or your preferred type of onions can all work
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro - or fresh basil leaves if you prefer basil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar - or palm sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari sauce
  • 1/4 cup of water

How to make the best Thai Lime sauce Instructions:

  • Begin by washing and de-stemming the Thai chilies. Make sure to wear gloves while handling them as they are very spicy.
  • In a blender or food processor, combine the chilies, onion, cilantro, garlic, coconut sugar, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lime juice, soy sauce, and water. Blend until everything is well-combined and forms a smooth sauce.
  • Pour the sauce into a saucepan and heat over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
