    Vegan Pepper Steak Sauce Ingredients:

        •    2 tablespoons (30g) vegan butter or olive oil
        •    1/4 cup (30g) diced onions
        •    1/4 cup (30g) diced bell peppers (red and green for color)
        •    2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
        •    1 teaspoon (2g) coarsely ground black pepper
        •    1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
        •    1 cup (240ml) vegetable broth
        •    1/2 cup (120ml) plant-based milk (e.g., almond, soy, or oat)
        •    1/2 teaspoon (3g) salt (adjust to taste)
        •    1/2 teaspoon (3g) sugar (optional, for balance)
        •    1 tablespoon (15ml) soy sauce or tamari (for depth of flavor)
        •    1/4 cup (30g) chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

How to make pepper sauce for steak Instructions: best steak sauce

    1. In a saucepan, melt the vegan butter or heat the olive oil over medium heat.
    2. Add the diced onions and bell peppers. Sauté them for about 5 minutes, or until they become tender and translucent.
    3. Stir in the minced garlic and coarsely ground black pepper. Sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
    4. Sprinkle the all-purpose flour over the sautéed mixture. Stir constantly for 2-3 minutes to create a roux. This helps thicken the sauce.
    5. Gradually pour in the vegetable broth while continuing to stir. Make sure there are no lumps in the sauce.
    6. Add the plant-based milk, salt, sugar (if using), and soy sauce. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
    7. Allow the sauce to simmer gently for about 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired consistency. If it becomes too thick, you can adjust by adding a bit more broth or milk.
    8. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary by adding more salt or black pepper.
    9. Remove the saucepan from the heat, and stir in the chopped fresh parsley for a burst of freshness and color.
Your delicious Vegan Pepper Steak Sauce is ready to drizzle over your favorite vegan steak or other dishes. Enjoy!
