Barbecue season is officially upon us and that’s why I just had to share my favourite vegan BBQ Corn Ribs recipe. It’s super easy to make and becomes deliciously crispy and crunchy. These Vegan BBQ Ribs are so good they should almost come with a disclaimer; these ribs are so tasty you may find them addictive … so consider yourself warned. It doesn’t get much easier or tastier than these amazing, mouthwatering Vegan Barbecue ribs.

If you don’t have a grill or barbecue don’t worry about it. These vegan ribs can just as easily be made in an air fryer.

How to serve these amazing easy vegan BBQ corn ribs

You can serve these vegan ribs with your favourite side dishes like fresh summer salads, baked potatoes, potato salad or anything else you would normally serve at a barbecue. These ribs are just as good as the real thing (well, better in my humble opinion)  and go well with everything. My favourite easy way to serve them in the summer is with a side of fresh tomato salsa or my amazing juicy watermelon salad together with grilled veggies like zucchini, eggplants and bell peppers. Grilling veggies in the summer is one of the quickest, easiest and tastiest ways to add a side of veggies to a meal. 

Quick cooking hack

If you want the delicious smoky flavour of the BBQ sauce, but without the work of making your own, you can easily buy a great BBQ sauce at the grocery store and use it in this recipe (don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about it).

How are these amazing easy vegan Barbecue Corn Ribs made? It’s very simple. Just:

Cooking in an air fryer

Place the seasoned corn ribs in an air fryer and cook them at 400F for 10-12 minutes or until they are crispy on the outside. 

Serve with a drizzle of sauce on top and enjoy.

Cooking in the oven

Preheat the oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with baking paper. Place the seasoned Corn Ribs on the baking sheet and cook them in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the ribs are crispy on the outside. 

Serve with a drizzle of BBQ sauce on top and enjoy.

Cooking on the grill

Heat the grill or barbecue and place the corn ribs on the grill. Grill the vegan ribs for 5-10 minutes, turning them over halfway through, until the ribs are crispy on the outside. 

Serve with a drizzle of BBQ sauce on top and enjoy.

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Serving Size 4 people

Ingredients

  • 4 Corn Cobs
  • 4-6 tbsp BBQ Sauce
  • Pinch of Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  • Cut each corn cob carefully into four equal pieces down the length (note: I find it easiest to cut the corn cobs while they are standing upright. Just be careful you don’t cut yourself). 
  • Brush the corn bobs with BBQ sauce and season with salt. 

Cooking in an air fryer

  • Place the seasoned corn ribs in an air fryer and cook them at 400F for 10-12 minutes or until they are crispy on the outside. 
    Serve with a drizzle of sauce on top and enjoy.

    Love this recipe! The corn ribs turned out delicious and crunchy and seasoned just right. I love that I can grill them during summer and bake them in my air fryer when the weather is bad
