This super easy spicy bean salsa is loaded with flavors and textures. It’s made with only as few easy to get ingredients that all pack a lot of flavors into the dish. Made simply with kidney beans, black beans, tomatoes and spices this is one delicious vegan salsa.

This easy spicy bean salsa is cozy, warming and everything autumn is about. Plus, it works so well as a dip for game night, or wrap it in a tortilla topped with my easy vegan cauliflower tacos meat for a quick and super delicious dinner that’s ready in under 20 minutes.

If you are looking for a very meaty and filling dish, you can mix this salsa with my vegan cauliflower tacos meat and get a deliciously decadent dinner that will satisfy even a die hard meat eater. We all have those meat loving people in our lives that wrinkle their nose at vegan food…and whenever I have one of those friends coming over I like to serve my spicy bean salsa mixed with my cauliflower tacos meat – they always end up loving this crowd pleasing combination and they never miss the meat (actually they usually don’t even notice the lack of meat).

  • Heat olive oil in a large pan and add the crushed and chopped tomatoes, beans and garlic. Stir together and bring to a simmer before adding the spices and lemon juice. Let the dish cook for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally until the sauce starts to thicken a little. Finally add the chopped basil and stir together to combine. Add extra salt and spices if needed and serve. Enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 can Canned chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 can Kidney Beans rinsed and drained
  • 1 can Black Beans rinsed and drained
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 2 tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Sweet and Sour Chili Sauce
  • Juice from ½ Lemon
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 bunch Fresh Basil chopped
