The best vegan Gameday Super Bowl cheese dip
Gameday means delicious snacks and cheese dips…and this easy vegan queso is one of my top requested game day dips. It’s so incredibly creamy luxe and cheesy that no one ever guesses it’s vegan.

Nutritional yeast is a powerhouse of nutrients and cheesy deliciousness. It adds that incredible cheesy depth of flavor that’s a great copycat for regular dairy cheese flavor. Plus, it’s a great healthy alternative because it’s loaded with nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use salted cashews to make vegan queso?
Sure. Just don’t add extra salt if you make queso with salted cashews. I find it easier to control the saltiness when I use roasted raw cashews in my queso, but salted cashews can absolutely work too.
I don’t have tahini. Can I leave it out?
Sure. If you don’t have tahini I recommend adding a little extra squeeze of lemon juice to help balance the acid in the queso.
Is this cheese dip diet-friendly?
Yes. It will fit most diets because it’s a vegan, low-carb high-protein recipe. Whether Paleo, low-carb, whole30, or gluten-free this queso will work for you.
Can I freeze cheese dip?
I wouldn’t recommend freezing this vegan cheese dip snack. Most dips usually don’t freeze well. You can make it in advance and keep it stored in an airtight container for 3-6 days in a refrigerator no problem. Just stir it before serving.
