It’s that time of year for juice cleanses, and this Liver Cleansing Green Juice is one of my favorites. After the greasy foods in November and December, the liver can always use a little help.
This Liver detox green juice is packed with goodness. It’s loaded with Vitamins and minerals to help your immune system, boost your metabolism and help your liver to detox.
And best of all, it does all those amazing things and still manages to taste good.

This is one of my favorite juices when I do intermittent fasting. Because it’s loaded with health benefits, barely contains any calories and boosts the metabolism I find it to be the ideal breakfast juice for intermittent fasting.

If you’re a licorice lover like me, then you’re in luck. Licorice has been used by indigenous people for hundreds of years as a natural remedy. It helps the digestive system, and soothes gastrointestinal problems. It actually helps repait the stomach lining and restore balance – which is especially great if you have suffered from heartburn or stomach ulcers.

Disclaimer:

If you suffer from high blood pressure you should leave out the liqorice powder. Licorice has been known to increase blood pressure and may reduce the effect of any blood pressure medication.

How is this Liver Cleansing Green Juice made:

Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls Kale or baby cale
  • ½ cup Orange juice
  • 1 tsp Licorice Powder
  • ¼ cup Cold Water
  • Ice cubes Optional

Instructions

  • Blend everything together in a blender for about 1 minute. Serve immediately or take with you to go.
