Can I use store-bought BBQ sauce in the rub?

Absolutely. I like to make my own BBQ sauce, but you can just as easily use your favorite store BBQ sauce.

What kind of dark beer is best to use for vegan BBQ sauce?

I recommend using a very dark beer because it adds more intensity to the sauce. If you have a favorite beer you can use that. Really, any type of beer can work in the BBQ sauce, but the darker beers tend to make a better BBQ sauce. Just be sure to choose a vegan dark beer such as:

– Guinness Foreign Extra Stout
– Millstream Brewing Co Back Road Stout
– Samuel Smith Brewery Oatmeal Stout
– Sierra Nevada Stout

Can I use a non-alcoholic beer instead of real beer?

Absolutely. You can just as well use a non-alcoholic beer in cooking. Using beer is all about the flavors. The beer doesn’t have to contain any alcohol to produce a delicious sauce.
