These cauliflower buffalo wings are deliciously crispy and sticky on the outside, tender on the inside and loaded with flavors. They are so easy to make, vegan, gluten free and outrageously delicious. I like to serve as these buffalo cauliflower wings at BBQ’s, as a healthy snack, entree or appetizer or as a guilt-free movie treat.
Cauliflower wings are one of my favorite vegan comfort foods. They taste so good I can almost hear the angels sing, and as if that wasn’t already good enough, these buffalo wings are vegan, healthy and gluten free, too.
This recipe combines some of my favorite things – sesame seeds and buffalo sauce in a healthy comfort food recipe. It’s so good, I would happily eat it every day.
What is cauliflower wings?
Only the best healthy comfort food ever created, in my not so humble opinion. Cauliflower buffalo wings are the healthy, vegan version of regular cauliflower wings. They are not only vegan though, they are also healthy and have become a favorite in the weight loss world, because they are so healthy and low calorie. They are the ideal, guilt-free and completely delicious snack, and they are really easy to make.

How are these vegan and gluten free cauliflower buffalo wings made? It’s so easy:
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450F.
- Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
- Pour your cauliflower florets into a large mixing bowl. In a seperate bowl, mix together brown rice flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Next, add the cashew milk to the flour mixture and whisk together until it’s a creamy batter.
- Pour the batter over the cauliflower florets and mix until all the florets are coated in the batter.Place the florets on the lined baking tray and spread them out in an even layer. Bake them in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes, flipping the florets over halfway through.
- While the cauliflower florets are baking, mix together all the ingredients for the buffalo wing sauce in a small pot and let it come to a boil. Turn the heat down to medium and let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes. Set aside.
- Once the florets are ready, remove them from the oven and brush generously with buffalo wing sauce. Top with sesame seeds and return the florets to the oven to cook for another 10-15 minutes.Serve with your favorite dressing and enjoy.
Cauliflower Buffalo Wings – vegan and gluten free
Ingredients
- 1 head Cauliflower Broken into florets
- ½ cup Brown Rice Flour
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 3 tsp Paprika
- ½ tsp Salt
- Pinch of Pepper
- ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper
- ¾ cup Unsweetened Cashew Milk or Almond Milk
Buffalo Wing Sauce
- ½ cup Water
- ¼ cup White Vinegar
- 2 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 3 tbsp Tomato Powder
- ½ tsp Sea salt
Topping
- 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds
